First Look of Brie Larson as ‘Captain Marvel’ on set

In the pictures we can see that the character will probably wear an initial Kree costume, and later will change it to the traditional red and blue. (costume that was featured in a promotional art at D23 last year). For those who do not know, the classic Kree warriors wore a green military uniform; The Kree are a race of Skrull, one of the oldest and most important of the Marvel Universe in comics.

Also we can see in the costume the Hala Star in the chest of the heroine. Hala is nothing less than Captain Marvel’s planet, Mar-Vell, in which there have been rumors about his appearance in the character’s solo movie and had an Easter egg in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, in a scene where Rocket travels through space to meet the Star Lord on the planet Ego, until arriving at its destination, one of the places where he passes is Hala. Another detail is that the Sea-Vell is a Kree, and Hala is the home planet of that race.

It is still too early for great theories. Captain Marvel’s solo film begins filming in March and its premiere is will take place on March 8, 2019. Avengers 4, debuts a few months after, in May of the same year.

TimesUP: Powerful Hollywood Women Unveil Anti-Harassment Action Plan

TimesUP: Powerful Hollywood Women Unveil Anti-Harassment Action Plan

Driven by outrage and a resolve to correct a power imbalance that seemed intractable just months ago, 300 prominent actresses and female agents, writers, directors, producers and entertainment executives have formed an ambitious, sprawling initiative to fight systemic sexual harassment in Hollywood and in blue-collar workplaces nationwide.

The initiative includes:

  • A legal defense fund, backed by $13 million in donations, to help less privileged women — like janitors, nurses and workers at farms, factories, restaurants and hotels — protect themselves from sexual misconduct and the fallout from reporting it.
  • Legislation to penalize companies that tolerate persistent harassment, and to discourage the use of nondisclosure agreements to silence victims.
  • A drive to reach gender parity at studios and talent agencies that has already begun making headway.
  • And a request that women walking the red carpet at the Golden Globes speak out and raise awareness by wearing black.

Called Time’s Up, the movement was announced on Monday with an impassioned pledge of support to working-class women in an open letter signed by hundreds of women in show business, many of them A-listers, including Brie. The letter also ran as a full-page ad in The New York Times, and in La Opinion, a Spanish-language newspaper.

<“The struggle for women to break in, to rise up the ranks and to simply be heard and acknowledged in male-dominated workplaces must end; time’s up on this impenetrable monopoly,” the letter says.

The group is one answer to the question of how women in Hollywood would respond to cascading allegations that have upended the careers of powerful men in an industry where the prevalence of sexual predation has yielded the minimizing cliché of the “casting couch,” and where silence has been a condition of employment.

Time’s Up also helps defuse criticism that the spotlight on the #MeToo movement has been dominated by the accusers of high-profile men, while the travails of working-class women have been overlooked.

This was highlighted in November, when an open letter was sent on behalf of 700,000 female farmworkers who said they stood with Hollywood actresses in their fight against abuse. Time’s Up members said the letter bolstered their resolve to train their efforts on both Hollywood and beyond.

Join the movement by signing the statement of solidarity and donate now to the Time’s Up Now legal defense fund.

Jay-Z has released the music video of Family Feud on Tidal. The short music video within more than 7 minutres was directed by Ava DuVernay. And it’s more like a cinematic narrative short latent with political and social messages.

Family Feud weaves a futuristic saga beginning in the year 2444 and working backward to 2050 when a group of women — headed up by an adult Blue Ivy Carter — embark upon a major reformation of America when they rewrite the Constitution.

Brie Larson was one of the Founding Mothers. And we also can see, Beyonce & Blue Ivy Carter (of course), Michael B. Jordan, Trevante Rhodes, Thandie Newton, Jessica Chastain, Irene Bedard, Omari Hardwick, David Oyelowo, Emayatzy Corinealdi, America Ferrera, Aisha Hinds, Henry G. Sanders, and Storm Reid, Mindy Kaling, Rashida Jones, Rosario Dawson, Janet Mock, Constance Wu, Niecy Nash, and Susan Kelechi Watson.

A preview was released on Beyonce’s Youtube even though, we can only watch the full video, if you have Tidal subscription.

Our gallery was updated with HD screen captures of Brie’s scenes during the short movie. Unfortunetly we won’t post the music video, since it was only avaliable for Tidal subscribers. To know more about the making of Family Feud music video you can take a look on Washington Post article.
